Mountain Biking in the Tweed Valley
Need time away from the office. Desperate to escape from endless meetings via MS Teams? Looking for an excuse to get together and spend time outdoors?
Why not try mountain biking in the beautiful Tweed Valley - ideal for private groups, team building days or corporate entertainment.
Lead by a fully qualified British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader, we’ll take you riding on the stunning network of world class trails across the Tweed Valley and in Glentree Forest where Tom Pidcock won gold at the UCI World Cross Country Mountain Bike Championships, 2023
Don’t worry if you’ve not ridden a bike for a few years(!) we’ll design a fantastic route to suit the level of experience of everyone in the group, ensuring you all have an exhilarating and safe day out on the trails.
Because every group, every team and every business is different we always tailor our Mountain Bike experiences to your needs and to what you want to get out of the day.
For this reason we’ll meet - whether in person or remotely - before the day to ensure our plans match your expectations.
Safety is our number one priority. Whilst we can’t eliminate every risk - this is mountain biking after all - we can mitigate the level of risk as far as reasonably practicable.
Subsequently, every group ride we undertake is risk assessed and planned with you in mind.
Some people prefer to bring their own bike to ride, whilst others ask Trails Leadership to supply a bike.
Trails Leadership can provide all required equipment, food & drink.
All participants are required to wear a helmet, eye wear and protective gloves.
Our rides typically start in Peebles, Glentress or Innerleithen. Other locations are possible, just ask!
All rides start with a warm welcome, a cup of coffee/tea, a pre-ride brief and a bike check before the fun of the ride begins!

All of our mountain bike leaders are British Cycling qualified, hold current ‘Outdoor First Aid’ and ‘Child Well-being and Protection in Sport’ certificates.

After setting off carrying our snacks and drinks for the day, we will ride for approximately 3 hours.
It’s not all hard work, though, as we’ll have regular breaks along the way!
